About this pieceStory, details and how to wear it

The outline of a heart, but folded: the rose-gold edge is cut into small flat facets, like a ribbon pinched every few millimetres, so it flickers as you move. Inside the open centre a single round pearl bead sits low on the left, held against the frame rather than hanging in the middle.

Give it to your daughter on her eighteenth birthday. The heart is left open on purpose, room for everything still to come, and the pearl is the small piece of home she takes along into all of it.
