About this pieceStory, details and how to wear it
Each teardrop is outlined in silver and filled with three bands of enamel: a turquoise rim, a ring of white, then a black teardrop at the centre looking straight back at you. They hang from simple hooks finished with a small coil, short enough to stay neat under loose hair.
The day you bring home your first car, someone ties nimbu-mirchi to the bumper before you drive it out of the showroom. Wear these for the same reason: one nazar on each side, for the first long drive.
